An example of this trade off is when we're using a cloud storage app, like Dropbox. What happens here is that we're putting my files on the Dropbox server, we get the convenience of being able to access it on multiple devices. But on the other hand, we're giving away the content of my file. So we're basically trading our privacy to gain a bit of usability.

There is always a trade off between usability and privacy.
An example of this trade off is when we're using a cloud storage app, like Dropbox. What happens here is that we're putting my files on the Dropbox server, we get the convenience of being able to access it on multiple devices. But on the other hand, we're giving away the content of my file. So we're basically trading our privacy to gain a bit of usability.
